TANZ UM DIE GUILLOTINE: Dance Around The Guillotine

An historical novel laid during the years of the French Revolution but revealing a new phase in its picture of the paralleling revolts among the Dutch and Batavian people. The scene shifts from Paris to the provinces, and the customs of the period are vividly transcribed. The dramatic action is secondary. The young idealistic hero, related to the Burgomaster of Amsterdam, leaves for France and joins the revolutionary army, to return to Holland where he incites a similar revolt. An unusual background colorfully handled and an exciting narrative.
