After Mr. Douglas did in the neighbors in Old New Litchfield in The Neighbors Are Scaring My Wolf he decided to lose himself at Lost Lake in the wilds of Northern Ontario, ninety miles from the nearest trading post. This is a really hilarious confrontation with the great outdoors, particularly when you have a Japanese wife, a son and an assortment of animals (including ""Pussycat,"" a 150 pound cougar) in tow. And who else could deal with a northern version of Bonnie and Clyde; Jake, the sneakiest caretaker ever to claim that the racoons made off with the kindling; an ulcerated Broadway agent; the Canadian Goose Airways; a doctor who Collects monster sounds from Japanese horror movies; a Jewish faggot turned Indian guide and other northern nuts. And who else could deliver his wife's baby in a Jiffy Survival Tent in the middle of a blizzard or host a New Year's woodsie for guests like Jack Paar, Dean Martin (who ""sang all of his old hits and quite a few of his misses""), Julie Newmar and Diahann Carroll. A land-rover laugh-in.
