All we've seen is a very good looking dummy and a Table of Contents. So all we can vouch for is a fine piece of bookmaking, and -- in contents -- a seemingly perfect balance of the sentimental tug of the classic dog story, humor, pathos, adventure, stories and essays and extracts from books. The names speak for themselves, from the incomparable Bar Sinister by Richard Harding Davis, to a modern dog story by Vereen Bell. One can think of omissions (where is Dumbbell of Brookfield, where are Beautiful Joe and Greyfriar's Bobby?). But after all, that is mere quibbling with an excellent collection.
