KIRKUS REVIEW

This author restrains his exuberance to tackle a tickler involving a wealthy family whose money is derived from a feature syndicate where the most famous cartoonist has become a drunken, disintegrated wreck. Manager of the syndicate, Mark Wallis, is forced to resign when a murder crowds him close with the death of the cartoonist, the killing of one of the family and the tight suspicion around his gal. A comic strip, in its own idiom, supplies the final clue, forces the death dealing hand. Fairly subdued and definitely presentable.
