The basic fundamentals of play are succinctly described:- something of tennis history, equipment, insistence on importance of starting right, discussion, with photographs of grip, stance, strokes, service, plays, tactics. The last section deals with health and temperament, the importance of practice, the rules of lawn tennis, tennis clinics and tournament play.
