KIRKUS REVIEW

A dozen yarns, out of the crudeness and rawness of the West Jack London knew, and virile, lusty tales they are. Dogs and men -- creatures of the wilds- life on the sea- coastal traders and oyster pirates, a motley crew. The stories are drawn from varied sources, written between 1906 and 1920, and are representative, although not as familiar, perhaps, as might be expected. Good introduction to Jack London- and should have a plus male for young adults. Table of Contents includes:- The Sun Dog Trail
