Within the circus world little Flora wondered about the people outside and how they lived. She asked an acrobat about them and he told her that the people in the audience spun on their heads all day long. A lady acrobat disagreed. She claimed that the people were like spiders spinning webs. So Flora went to see for herself. But the way she went about finding out confused her still more. Between the two highest trees of the village she strung a rope. There she stood to watch the people. Though she grew more confused because distance deceived her, later she saw some happy people with friendly faces. When she realized then that outside people were just like circus folks, Flora and her friends put on the very best show they could.
