NO END OF NONSENSE

Fun to hear, fun to follow; jaunty, limerick-like German verses with wall-to-wall illustrations that show more on successive viewings. ""The Rabbit Hunt"": ""Three men went hunting rabbits/ Last winter in the fall./ One could not hear, one could not see./ One could not move at all./ The deaf one heard the rabbit first./ The blind one stalked his trail./ The one who could not move jumped up/ And caught him by the tail."" You'll meet a lady with two storks living inside her mouth, an upside-down inside-out farm (but no Gophers in the Garden), a frog confounding a barber (""How can you have a haircut/ When you haven't any hair?""), a hunter she! down by a hare. ""Nonsense is as nonsense does/ Do you think this nonsense was?"" Yes--for good illogical reasons.
