KIRKUS REVIEW

Goods deeds- in a naughty world- as Father Shanley and Detective Sam Golden collaborate once again in the kidnapping of Teresa Bienvenida. Father Shanley is tagged for the pay off by a criminal in cleric's clothes- but it is Sammy who steps in- not only to save the child but a cop who has gone bad- redeems a reputation as well as a life. Hardhitting handling- but there's a softer scaffolding of sentiment.
