KIRKUS REVIEW

Avoiding the usual step-by-lockstep instructions for specific products, the authors provide here a summary of standard activities -- drawing and painting, cutting and pasting, collages and making dough sculpture (recipes included), mobiles, etc. -- employing the usual fingerpaints, felt, socks. popsicle sticks, macaroni and egg cartons. The most novel suggestions are on the order of a translucent mobile of leaf shapes cut from crayon shavings ironed between double sheets of wax paper. A comprehensive primer for nonprofessionals new to working with little kids.
