KIRKUS REVIEW

Pretty slow paced for Jackson Gregory, in spite of due allotment of theft, death by shock, murder, etc. (not to mention romance). A young financier, ruined in the market, seeks refuge with an old friend, owner of a Spanish ranch in California, and while there helps solve the mystery of several robberies and a death, reclaims a fortune for his host -- and another for the lovely neighbor -- and wins her hand.
