JOHNNY KING, QUARTERBACK

Scholtz not at his best- in a pro football yarn. Johnny has come back from college to find his lumberman father in a tight spot financially. Pro football seems the answer and Johnny has a chance to go pro on the same team with his old squadron. Then an accident postpones his joining, and he turns instead to coaching the local Michigan high school team. When his chance comes again, he- and his buddies- find that the famous squadron has lost its morale, but Johnny manages to instill the old spirit, makes good his agreement, saves the pressure on his father and so on. There are better football stories this year.
