Small Lawton College's football team's chance for life depends on its ability to win five games in the current season. To accomplish this, their energetic manager Terry persuades big Elmer Finch to be a Lawton student. A whale of player, but unaggressive, Elmer presents problems, and even though his wins are rather incredible, they have their humor and a definite gridiron bid.
