FIGHTING COACH

Plain spoken, two-fisted Coach Haley is offered a job at a university to clean up football, and is faced with almost insurmountable hurdles. There are trustees who want their football profitable; there are subsidized players suddenly deprived of their subsidies; there is a campus star selling signals to the opposition; there is a potential star player who wont play, because of his father's tragedy. The Coach wins through, and welds his team into a winning one. Lots of play by play record of manceuvres, plenty of action off field and on. A good husky book for older boys -- and for men who like their football.
