KIRKUS REVIEW

Cliff Martin, freshman at Midwestern University, is a good athlete and determined to play football. But the high powered and experienced players on the team make it impossible for him to participate on the big-name team of his school. How Cliff starts a second team, how he succeeds through action in overcoming the prejudice the school feels for that team, and how finally he integrates his team into the athletic program of Midwestern makes a sport story with a new angle. Good football action and an interesting theme make this a sport story considerably above the average.
