. . . by meeting an elderly spinster with an empty house. Add a picture of Mr. Berry's menagerie, and you have the story in less than a sentence. Eviction, rejection, wedding reception -- the beginning is out of Dr. Dolittle, the end a Lonely Hearts balm, and the middle is simply a fracas on a bus in which the animals behave like people.
