THEY CAN'T HANG ME

On her way to a death sentence for the provoked murder of her worthless lover-dancing partner, Maisie Meadowes -- with a cheeky toss of her red head -- remembers her life from childhood on with a juvenile troupe to third rate bookings with assorted men and in assorted music hails and cabarets. Except for the last act, there's not much doing really and it all depends on whether you can summon up enough interest in Maisie -- relentlessly talkative, however goodnatured a slap and a tickle.
