KIRKUS REVIEW

Non-author writes non-book about non-human. Josephine is a poodle. Miss Susann is a television actress. The book is about the poodle from infancy to toothless old age. Miss Susann and her husband, TV producer Irving Mansfield, have provided the dog with total devotion that could perhaps only culminate in an appreciation in print. Starting from less than scratch (they had no idea how a female dog relieves itself). they fought the battle of diet, housebreaking and the surgical bills of the operation prone poodle. Josephine, returned an equal devotion to them and had a career under Klieg lights on Humans Society shows. Poodle fanciers may respond to the book with short, sharp barks--but only poodle fanciers.
