All around the monkey world from Central America to the Congo to Sumatra in stiff prose and lively, look-at-me drawings. The major kinds, (plus apes if you're being technical) get the most space, but there's at least a picture and a paragraph for almost every primate. A compendium of physical and social characteristics with occasional pauses for a longer look at a few groups (howler monkeys, Japanese monkeys, chimpanzees) in situ, more comprehensive than Zim or Morris (but not as scientifically satisfying, despite their smaller scope), and more in the nature of an illustrated guide than Lemmon's All About...
