Conditioned by secrecy about his mother, and by his father's attitude towards Negroes, George Woodward fears he has colored blood, hates Negroes with destructive violence, jumps into politics with the segregation of Negroes as a motive. A meeting with a scientist who has turned a Negro white results in a deliberate experiment in George's being turned colored, so as to study the truth first hand. Accused of his own murder, he is subjected to the degradations offered the race, finds refuge with his parents, regains balance within himself, and plans a future devoted to racial education.....Based on facts of pigmentation changes, this symbolizes race hatreds and distrust resolved by understanding and sympathy.
