KIRKUS REVIEW

A Girl of the Golden West story, laid in the Klondike just before the great gold rush of 1898, this tells of redheaded Julie Condon, nicknamed ""Fireweed"" by the handful of miners to whom she is friend and ministering angel. On the scene come a young chechako (inexperienced miner) who works hard to become a real sourdough, and villain Ear Bite Finely, after Julie's money. Furious action but a flimsy story that doesn't come near London's and Beach's classic tales of the gold fields.
