KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of a half-breed turned against his white brothers by their brand of so-called civilization. When the murderer of his Scotch father is freed by the jury that takes the word of a white man against a half-breed, he turns wholly Indian, and schemes to involve the murderer in another murder for which he, though innocent, is convicted. Then falls the intrusion of high pressure business, and Angus outwits them, even at the expense of his childhood sweetheart. She proves true -- and joins him at his trading post. The book is episodic in character. Ran in a periodical under title White Blood and Red.
