COOKING FOR FAMILY CAMPERS by James & Barbara Newman

COOKING FOR FAMILY CAMPERS

A nice little unpretentious guide for cooking in the wilds, with instructions on fires as well as food and utensils. Particularly appealing is the menu section with a week's menu for those at a loss. Dutch even, broiling and foil methods are discussed efficiently and there are simple, sensible recipes throughout. The authors do not fuss much about all possible methods but provide expeditiously just about all the modestly equipped camper needs to know. One gripe-even with a word of caution it is not wise to invite neophytes to experiment with edible flora. But on the whole, helpful.
