BOMBA by James Bodero

This is an artistic book, but one which adults will appreciate more than the children for whom it is intended. The sketches have a great deal of charm, but little of the dramatic, direct style that appeals to children. The lettering is a part of the whole, but too difficult for a child to follow. The story in the brief text and pictures concerns itself with a burro, born to freedom in Mexico, captured and passed from master to master, until he achieves a burro heaven as a beloved pet. More or less routine round of adventures and misadventures.
