THE CREED IN CHRISTIAN TEACHING

Dr Smart has written for those Church School teachers who want to be very sure of the content of the Christian faith before they work on their particular bit of curriculum. He brings to his task not only his theological training, but the insights gained during that five years when he headed the staff which produced the Christian Earth and Life series for the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. His return to parochial life not only gave him a first hand experience with that series, but also made him aware how much the alert teacher cared about having his theology straight. This book is not made for casual or quick reading. It is a thorough study of the Grand. Although it has some slant toward the needs of Church School teachers, the work has been done so well that any layman can profit by it. And it transcends denominational lines as that any Church which uses the Creed can benefit when this book is read by its members.
