THE CHRISTMAS GANG

A slight sequel to The Revolt of the Teddy Bears (1985), again featuring May Gray, the police-inspector poodle who was instrumental in solving the previous mystery. During the annual Gray family Christmas celebration, joined by teddy bears Lolly and Baby Bob, May Gray is persuaded to tell the story of her first big case--when she helped to discover and capture the ""Christmas Gang,"" thieves who took advantage of the holidays to practice their craft. With the help of her husband, May relates the story amid the reunion's various interruptions. The result is a well worked-out, demurely told mystery with Gallic touches reflecting its Parisian setting McClintock's line drawings extend the tale. Satisfactory fare for anyone who enjoyed the previous book.
