The glamorous paths of sin or the security of conventional marriage -- that is the question. A young woman ponders through a ""white night"" on her own weighing of the problem, on the moves she has made in the game of life, on the outcome. One loses sight of the ""frame"" in which the story is set, and the return to it at the end -- plus a new poser -- is a surprise. Pretty thin, and unessential.
