IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY

By

Publisher: Scribner

Mirror held up to home life, that does not distort but reflects, sanely, humorously, family problems of all kinds. This to some extent continues his previous book, There's No Place Like Home in the growing up of the four children and the ensuing problems, but enlarges on more general topics of training for right attitudes, intelligence, conscientiousness, self-helpfulness, discipline, when to make rules and when not; parents, preventing dictatorship by either parents or children; treatment of elderly people, etc. As an expert-amateur, he is more than human, interspersing intelligently presented ideas with individual failures, and his own personal backalldings. Parents with children can like this while absorbing a lot.
