KIRKUS REVIEW

Heroin hidden in jade sends jade dealer Paul Certland on the trail of the originators and origin of the drugs' smuggling and lands him in Northwest China in the company of several unusual characters, and an American girl who is apparently playing ball with the Japanese. America's entry into the war enables Paul to join forces with the guerilla Chinese, break up the smuggling roots and untangle his trouble. Out of the ordinary adventure tale, which should be sold to a double market -- adventure-cum-mystery. Don't sidetrack it as just another mystery.
