KIRKUS REVIEW

Subtitled A Book for Americans of Pre-Voting Age this is a series of essays directed to young people on current political topics. The author, who has lectured widely throughout the country, touches on such topics as economic pressures toward conformity, the weakness of an economy in which avarice plays a large part, our political machinery and the possibilities of altering it, discrimination, disarmament, budget, war, etc. Nothing revolutionary here, but of considerable value to those students who need background to read newspapers.
