An important took for a very specialized market, those concerned with the problems of espionage, freedom of the press and speech, radio, movies, publishing, etc. etc. as related to the present situation, for here is the record of ""censorship"" in the last war, all inclusive term covering legislation, machinery, results, both during and after the war. Showing the dangers -- the ramifications -- the public hysteria -- and yet, all in all, the adequate job that was done during the war years, as compared with the serious aftermath in state and municipal censorship. Scholarly and interesting.
