PURPLE PALOMINO

Events follow one upon another so fast that in process of reading this successor to Phantom Mustang it seems impossible to take stock of the elements that make up the whole. A whirlwind of a tale, which smacks of the penny dreadfuls of the past as twin boys tumble into one mad adventure after another, and ultimately are rewarded for their disastrous tumbles, foolhardy ventures, disobedience of orders by capturing the mad convict and surviving to tell their tales. It all starts with a rivalry for the best photograph; it ends with a dead man, a captured desperado, and a recovered Palomino. Somehow the West could have more authentic sounding advocacy.
