THEY CAN'T HANG ME by James Ronald Kirkus Star

Publisher: Doubleday, Doran

One of the best sustained thrillers I've read for ages, even though some may feel it not quite in its final solution. The story of a newspaper man shut up for homicidal mania for twenty years, who escapes, determined to carry out an elaborate plot for getting rid of his partners who railroaded him. One after another, the four men are murdered, with all sorts of complications, involving the suspected man's daughter, a rival newspaper scooping the news, a mysterious Scot, who ultimately solves the mystery. London setting.
