Cloying, stiff dialogue undermines the essential dreaminess of this bedtime journey--from a boy's home to the streets beyond his window and into the vast nighttime of the universe. The questions and answers between the boy and his mother seem archly formal, though Hutton's ever-more encompassing scenes of the twilight voyage are ethereally beautiful.
