KIRKUS REVIEW

Without sugar coating the scientific pill, the author manages, by an entertaining and easy style, to carry the reader into the mysteries of astronomy, fully and graphically. Definitely astronomy for the layman, with introductory chapters explaining the sun, the planets, comets, meteors, nebulae, and so on -- and the body of the text is devoted to step by step study of progressive charts -- twenty of them- which makes one feel competent to participate in further research in this direction on ones own! An enormous amount of scientific fact is concentrated into a lively, readable book.
