Paul Ware, from Boston, gets a chance to spend her pre-college summer in Ireland with her friend Joyce, and to do some tripping all the way from Dublin to a 6th century monastic city to a tweed shop. But then there's the little box of antique jewelry, which someone aboard the plane has given her to deliver to a continually disappearing Mrs. Farrell, and, on the way back, the rare paintings she is unwittingly smuggling in. A wee mystery? indeed, along with some aqueous sentimentality, so class this as mystery-romance performing indifferently in either category.
