WHO WILL BELIEVE TIM KITTEN?

Through most of these unfocused episodes, Tim Kitten is downhearted because everyone else has something to do, because no one believes his self-glorifying fibs--and just in general. Then Tim's sisters Hepzibah and Jessica suggest that the way to make people believe his stories about winning races is to make them come true; and by nailing together a nifty little car for him, they effectively force Tim to race his worst scoffer, Harold. But when his car beats Harold's by an inch, Tim tells the truth for a change--I can't accept the prize because my sisters did it all--and this occasions such general good feelings that somehow even Harold believes Tim's next wild story about his airship, But as Tim (who inherited his habit in Great-Grandmother Cat Tales, 1976) hasn't turned into much of a story-teller, his real-life, human audience will be less enthralled.
