ACTIVE GAMES AND CONTESTS

These authors prepared one of the best game books published, Social Games for Recreation, and here is a companion volume, on outdoor games. The games included vary in age interest, from games such as hoop rolling for small children, to team games -- baseball, football, basket ball, and so on. Just for curiosity, I checked on a round dozen of games, not in the stereotyped class -- and all were there, with the variations and adaptations, rules and penalties. A book that should be in every school library, on every gymnasium and sports director's desk, in every scout headquarters or club room.
