Further in the widening sphere of benevolent influence and interference as exercised and then recorded by Janet Sandison, this returns to another little Scottish village where Lizzie Fintry has become the clairvoyant Madame Zora, living alone in a house full of cats- all half starved. Janet and her husband, Twice, buy a painting from her which eventually proves to be a link to another lost life; with two fluttery widows, ""Loose-an' Daze"", they see that Madame Zora is well cared for; Janet spends a little time in London with her more sophisticated friend Monica of the earlier book; and Madame Zora's death brings its reward to Loose-an'-Daze here on earth..... Och and Ach and Richt for that auld lang syne acquaintance. That's ist about it.
