JET STEWARDESS

Maria Green embarks on her career as a flight stewardess for Pan Am, determined to good job. Traversing the oceans and continents of the world, coping with obstreperous passengers, serving elaborate meals aboard the posh flights, dealing with a bomb scare, falling in love with an American in Italy and solving the puzzle of her friend's strange behavior adds up to quite a schedule. A combination waitress, nurse, group worker and time machine, the glamour of Maria's life wears thin though the author never quite admits it, as Maria comes smiling through. More an advertisement for Pan Am than a true picture of one of its employees.
