BIFFY BUFFALO

With pictures by Janet Smalley, this shows and tells the story of a young buffalo who has to learn by experience. After he strayed from his herd, he had his first surprise from prairie dogs who mysteriously popped out at him. He is chased by a coyote, after which an Indian appears in the night and hungry, frightened Biffy follows him back to camp. After learning much of Indian life he escapes and finds his own again.
