THE MAGIC BLOT

Three ink drops leap from Baldwin's ink bottle and form a large blot in the boy's drawing book. He peers into the blot and sees objects-- the cat from the clock, a mouse, a lizard, etc. He calls to his dog to look, but dog looks with only one eye-- and sees merely a black blot. The text which ends with a dull thud is poor support for the artistic, fine-lined pen and ink sketches in black and white.
