KIRKUS REVIEW

I didn't like The Clue of the Cipher Key -- and I don't like this one. Once again 14-year old Willa and 12-year old Raeburn act as sleuths, this time with a complex set of mysteries to solve. Who is trying to wreck plans for a Calvary Remount Station? What alls the stallion? Who is Ashley? At the close, all is explained, the villains reform. Pretty thin story with too too quaint Southern dialect.
