An if book that shows, with comedy and delight, what a little boy's imagination did when a lion came strolling down his street. Breathlessly he tells his mother how the fire department, police and ambulance men all came quick, quick, quick, and could only scratch their heads at the predicament. Not till the appearance of a zoo keeper bearing a beefsteak could the menace be removed. Clement Hurd's pictures of a funny tawny lion and flashing public service cars aptly fit a story bound to provoke humorous wonderings about beasts around familiar corners.
