A Little Dog Called Kitty refused to believe he was different than the Parker family's congregation of cats. Try as they may, Peter and Penny could not wean Kitty from his cathood. An unfortunate fall from a high stone fence jolts Kitty into understanding that he cannot do all the things his ""brothers"" can. Yet in the process of recuperation, he joyfully learns that being a dog has its own special compensations. Seymour Fleishman's expressive animal faces and generally charming illustrations in two colors enhance a sweet story.
