WHERE IS SQUIRREL?

Where is Squirrel? Does anyone care? Thayer gives you no reason to when Skunk, out of the blue, notices his absence and decides to play detective. The other animals assume a culprit--Rabbit says it's Fox, Chipmunk says it's ""those people"" in the house nearby--but when Skunk notices that Those People's bird feeder is empty, he figures out (and Chickadee, dispatched, confirms) that Squirrel is simply eating sunflower seeds in the next garden. A trumped-up, minimal mystery, given a bit of a lift by the droll expressions in Weissman's pale, tidy cartoons.
