THE RED SQUIRREL TWINS

By

Publisher: Lippincott

More squirrels -- this time in a touching and affectionate presentation with charming black and white sketches by Kurt Wiese. Rusty and Chatterbox began to learn things as soon as they left their mother's warm little nest -- some things she taught them and other things they learned by painful experience. Donnie and Linda Fairweather learn things, too, when Donnie captures and cages the baby squirrels. The children learn that confining wild things used to freedom is no kindness, and that the squirrels would be happiest in their own home. The story ends with the children giving the wood animals a lovely Christmas surprise.
