The Giant's Farm, decides little giant Dab, should be named Fe-Fi-Fo-Farm—and that's the crux of the first story. In the second, Dab prizes from (middle-sized) giant twins Grab and Grub "The Secret" that today's their birthday. Number three finds giant Stout stymied by tsp., tbsp. . . , etc., in a recipe—which Dab, with "a nice laugh," writes out for him. And so it goes for five small I-Can-Readerlike episodes, with little bespectacled Dab, indistinguishable from the standard de Paola tyke, coming up with the answer every time. A know-it-all youngster by any name is a trial, turning ostensible friends into foils, and a fat giant with only food on his mind isn't redeemed by a bon-bon recipe bonus.
