Directed mainly to girls who are pregnant, this offers some information--on adoption procedures, on misconceptions about avoiding conception--but mostly considers the decisions to be made (whether to have the baby, whether to marry, etc.), without taking any particular tack on any of them, The decisions are approached largely by way of polls and questionnaires (one reason for not using birth control is that some of ""you"" are scared off by state requirements of parental permission; others just don't think about it) and via quotes from teen mothers and mothers-to-be. (Many of ""you"" quoted seem so undirected generally that pregnancy is just accepted as a change, or occasionally as something to center on.) The book too is without direction, and the author doesn't seem to have anything to say about the cases and profiles she assembles. The subject is relevant, but young mothers-to-be would get at least as much help from a rap session at a center for unwed mothers.
