KIRKUS REVIEW

With a light, occasionally hysterical touch, Mrs. Gillespie relates tales of a European sojourn embarked upon with four children, a husband and a small car. From Paris to Italy to England, they create their own particular brand of confusion. The packing, the squabbles, the accommodations, the doubtful value of sightseeing, the adapting to local living, etc., are part of a six-sided exposure to foreign places over a five month period.
